Today, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Donald Trump is disqualified from appearing on the Colorado presidential primary and general election ballot.

This ruling honors the mandate of Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment. It excludes Trump from public office for having engaged in insurrection and rebellion against the Constitution of the United States.

Hector Sanchez Barba, CEO and Executive Director, released the following statement in response to this news:

“We congratulate Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), its co-counsel team, which led this case, Free Speech for the People, and others who joined us in this movement to enforce the 14th amendment.

We joined this fight because no one is above the law. Anyone who leads an attack on our Capitol, who seeks to subvert our democracy, will be held accountable for their actions. We took to the streets, organized in Colorado and across the country, and are proud of our part in this landmark decision.”
