As The 2024 Election Ramps Up Mi Familia Vota Certified As A Great Place To Work

Press Release

April 3, 2024

WASHINGTON D.C.— Mi Familia Vota is run by and built for our communities to strengthen Latino power. As our country faces continued attacks on our democracy, we must rise to this challenge more than ever before. To do that, we must maintain a working environment conducive to fostering innovation and excellence. That is why we proudly announce that we have been certified as a Great Place To Work based entirely on employees' reports about their work experience.

Héctor Sánchez Barba the President and CEO of Mi Familia Vota released the following statement in response to this certification:

“With the Latino vote more critical than ever in defending our democracy, the work of Mi Familia Vota has never been more vital. As we head into one of the most significant election cycles in modern history, we know we must have an organization to meet this moment.  We have invested in our staff and our infrastructure in the states to build Latino power and become a certified Great Place to Work. We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together with so much more to come. Adelante, together we will defend our democracy and organize to hold all politicians accountable to the priorities of the Latino community.”

Naomi Jozovich, National Director of Talent, released the following quote in response to this award:

“I believe that staff culture has a direct impact on the mission of any organization and that far too few leaders take it seriously enough. As such, I am proud that 95% of our staff from across the country say this is a great workplace. This happened because of the hard work of our whole team in helping to co-create a culture worthy of this recognition. It is significant that the survey results showed that new staff feel welcomed, folks feel supported by their managers and the national support infrastructure, and that we genuinely care about each other. Working well together is a critical ingredient in meeting our important mission.

About Great Place To Work: Great Place To Work is the global authority on workplace culture and employee experience. GPTW certification and recognition are based entirely on what employees report about their work experience through an anonymous survey.
