Nahielys brings over nine years of experience in grants management, compliance, and community engagement across the nonprofit and humanitarian sectors. She has a strong background in grant management, contract oversight, and compliance, ensuring organizations meet regulatory and funding requirements while advancing their mission.

Most recently, Nahielys served as Regional Grants Manager for Church World Service, where she supported newcomers, including asylees and immigrants, by securing critical funding and cultivating strong relationships with foundations and donors. She also brings extensive expertise in data collection, analysis, and presentation, enabling her to tell compelling stories that secure funding and demonstrate impact.

Throughout her career, Nahielys has developed expertise in grant writing, program oversight, risk management, and partnership development. She holds a Master’s degree in Security Studies, a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice, and a graduate certificate in Data Science. Beyond her technical expertise, she is passionate about equity, civic engagement, and empowering communities through advocacy, resources, and long-term support.
