Yadira Sanchez serves as the Development Director for Mi Familia Vota, where she is responsible for fundraising and establishing strategic partnerships with diverse organizations to increased Latino civic participation. Prior to coming to Mi Familia Vota, Yadira worked in the Immigration Department at the Service Employees International Union, where she helped organize the Fast for Families Campaign. Yadira is a board member of Dialogue on Diversity, a nonprofit dedicated to the social and political advancement of women of color and a member of the UC Alumni Advisory Board in Washington, DC. She earned a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Santa Barbara and a master’s degree from the George Washington University. Yadira is a fellow with Hispanics in Philanthropy and a Latina Gender Equity fellow with the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA). She was recently selected as a 40 under 40 honoree by the Leadership Center for Excellence and an Up and Coming Practitioner Finalist by the Professional Women in Advocacy Conference. In her spare time, Yadira enjoys traveling to other countries to learn about other cultures and enjoys outdoor activities.
