Santiago Cirnigliaro

Houston Coordinator

Santiago is the Houston Coordinator for Mi Familia Vota. He was born and raised in Argentina until the age of 7 when he moved to Houston, Texas. Santiago went on to graduate from Lamar University with his bachelor’s degree in social work and is expecting to graduate with his master’s of social work degree in May 2020 from the University of Houston.  Santiago believes that communities deserve to have their voices heard and strives to reach that goal. Santiago believes in the core foundation in Latino political power and will work to social, economic, and overall equality.

It was through his graduate degree experience that Santiago realized that community empowerment is key for community success. True power comes from the ground up and will work with Mi Familia Vota to achieve this goal. Santiago worked as a policy analyst for the Legislative Study Group for the duration of the 86th Texas Legislature. During that time, he realized some of the injustices that our communities are facing and realized the true work lies within our communities.
