Katherine Rocha serves as the Development Associate in our Washington, D.C. operation where she is responsible for grant writing and other fundraising initiatives for the organization. Prior to joining Mi Familia Vota, Katherine worked at a non-profit in the DMV area conducting civic engagement programs for low-income, immigrant youth and working on development efforts for the organization. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Virginia where she was an active member of the Latinx Student Alliance. Katherine is deeply committed to raising the voice and visibility of Latin@s in the U.S. and credits her passion for the community to her father, a Mexican immigrant who instilled in her a sense of pride in her raíces from a very early age.
In her spare time, Katherine enjoys playing tennis, visiting museums and galleries, traveling, and studying art. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
