Giselle Gasca was born in Toluca, Mexico and grew up in Visalia, California; she migrated with her family to the United States to pursue the American Dream at a very young age. She is currently working in her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Spanish. She began her work with Mi Familia Vota in the spring of 2014 as a canvasser and is now the Fresno Regional Coordinator.
Her parents encourage her to strive for the best in everything she does and she works hard to reassure them that their sacrifices of leaving their home and families behind to pursue a better life for their children have not been in vain. She spends her spare time with her family and doing homework as she plans to graduate from Fresno State University during the spring of 2017. She believes that being empowered is great but empowering others is just beyond words and is one of the many reasons she decided to work for in the nonprofit world. One of her biggest satisfactions is helping others and making sure that everyone finds the confidence within themselves to know they have a voice regardless of their legal status in this country.
