Antonio Garza is the Communications Associate for Mi Familia Vota. He is committed to social justice and the power our black and brown communities have in the present and future of this country.
Antonio was born and raised in Monclova, Mexico and moved to the United States and settled in Utah when he was 16 years old. He first became involved in the community serving for AmeriCorps at a Latinx non-profit organization, where he first felt the reward of helping his community navigate the health system in the state.
As a queer Mexican immigrant, Antonio has developed a unique perspective when it comes to the Latinx experience. Influenced by art and intersectionality, he aspires to empower people to become more civically engaged through media. During his free time, he is a digital artist who enjoys going to museums, galleries and community events where he is surrounded by people who inspire him.
