Angelica is the Texas deputy director for Mi Familia Vota. She was raised in Arkansas with her larger than life Mexican family. Angelica moved to Houston to pursue her undergraduate degree at Rice University. During her time at Rice, she served on the leadership team for the Hispanic Association for Cultural Enrichment at Rice and was part of several Center for Civic Leadership programs.
Angelica Razo joined Mi Familia Vota in June 2017 to lead our youth leadership program in Houston. Her work involved creating opportunities for Houstonians to participate in civic action, understand community issues, and create relationships with their elected officials. Angelica has always been passionate in understanding how community empowerment leads to positive, sustainable policy changes in social issues.
As Texas deputy director, she will apply her skills statewide and lead Texas as the Lone Star State goes through local elections, the census, 2020 elections and more!
In her spare time, she enjoys exploring Houston’s international cultures and spoiling her nephews and nieces.
