Voto Latino, Mi Familia Vota, iAmerica and more than 400 Partners Launch Hispanic Heritage Month of Action with Events Across the Country
Hispanic Heritage Month of Action aims to register record number of Latinos
WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 14, 2016 – Voto Latino, Mi Familia Vota and iAmerica will launch Hispanic Heritage Month on September 15 with events across the country, including events open to the press in Los Angeles, New York City, Denver, Chicago, Phoenix, Fresno, Orlando and Las Vegas. More than 400 partners, including Google, Airbnb, Spotify, Planned Parenthood, and others, have currently signed up to take part in HHMA in an online and on-the-ground effort to register a record number of Latinos.
With more than 27.3 million Latinos eligible to vote in 2016, Hispanic Heritage Month of Action will serve as the cornerstone initiative in voter registration to build political power for the Latino community and will run from September 15 through October 15.
