Mi Familia Vota & Univision Launch National Voter Hotline
Phoenix – Amidst unprecedented challenges to voting, Mi Familia Vota is proud to announce it is launching a national voter hotline with Univision. Continuing our partnership with Univision, the largest Spanish language network, we are focused on educating Latinos on how to register to vote and making sure their voices are heard at the ballot box this election cycle.
Héctor Sánchez Barba, Executive Director and CEO of Mi Familia Vota released the following statement to launch this campaign: “Our community has borne the brunt of this pandemic. Latinos and Immigrants are facing record high unemployment, and health care disparities which have left thousands with the inability to be tested or receive basic health care. Our community is down but not out. Now is our time to empower our communities to vote in November. This is our time to reach Latino voters in ways which work best for our communities, to define our future and priorities. This national voter hotline is our effort to reach these voters with the information they need to vote in this critically important election.”
Mi Familia Vota is a national civic engagement organization that unites Latino, immigrant, and allied communities to promote social and economic justice through citizenship workshops, voter registration, and voter participation. Mi Familia Vota has operations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, and Texas.
