Join Mi Familia Vota’s Presidential Debate Loteria Viewing Party

Washington D.C. – Mi Familia Vota is hosting a Presidential Debate virtual lotería watch party this Tuesday, September 29th. By incorporating the popular game lotería, similar to bingo, we are creating a space for Latino political expression that stays true to our community during Hispanic Heritage Month. The virtual event will bring together members of our national community to tell their stories, share thoughts on the candidates, and have a good time. Registrants will receive their own Loteria game board after signing up.

Hector Sanchez Barba, Mi Familia Vota CEO and Executive Director said:

“Since Donald Trump has taken office, the Latino community has suffered the brunt of his xenophobic comments and his disastrous policies. The president’s deadly mismanagement of the Covid-19 crisis has caused immense suffering and has left the Latino community reeling from record-level unemployment, food anxiety, and massive health care disparities. When we launched our national campaign, #BastaTrump, we did so because we understand Trump is the greatest threat to our community and democracy, and our country cannot take another four years of his incompetent leadership. We are excited to host this watch party to help bring together our community and reflect on the damage the President has caused. I will be live-tweeting the event with facts about how the President has failed us.”
