The Organization:

Mi Familia Vota/Mi Familia Vota Education Fund is a leading national civic engagement organization dedicated to empowerment and civic participation in the Latino community. MFV/MFV EF develops, coordinates, and implements sophisticated non-partisan field programs and strategies including citizenship promotion and assistance, voter registration, and voter education and mobilization. Through innovative voter registration methods, high impact trainings, and issue-based organizing, MFV builds Latino political power. Year-round, MFV engages with Latino communities around six issues: immigration, voting rights, the environment, worker’s rights, education, and healthcare.

Mi Familia Vota is a 501 c(4) organization, with Mi Familia Vota Education Fund as a 501 c(3) entity. We are headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, maintaining operations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, and Texas.

The Position:

The Digital Manager will have overall responsibility for engaging and activating MFV audiences in digital spaces. S/he will initially develop deep knowledge of interdepartmental programs and campaigns to develop complementary digital strategies to enhance all program outcomes.

The Digital Manager will take a leadership role in designing and managing digital initiatives and will actively promote them by developing online, text, and social media based campaigns. In addition, this position will require website maintenance and the management of tech-tools and platforms. The Digital Manager reports to the Communications Director.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ongoing digital programs of exceptional quality. Rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of digital communications; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals consistent with field activities as well as and state and national events.
  • Actively engage and energize MFV/MFV EF audiences, including constituents at the state and national level, as well as partnering organizations.
  • Oversee the creation, use, and evaluation of year-round campaigns using advocacy software.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate texting programs.
  • Coordinate and manage and reflect programs in a strategic way on the MFV website.
  • Be able to research, identify, and communicate key data and information pertinent to the civic success of the Latino community and that communicates the Latino and Immigrant agenda from the Framework of MFV operations.
  • Provide staff training on advocacy and tech tools.
  • Provide reporting on digital campaigns, media hits, and additional evaluations as needed.
  • Provide leadership in development of inter-team communication and cohesiveness, sustaining culture and supporting staff during organizational growth.
  • Be able to communicate strategies and share work with staff and partners as well as support with media pitching.
  • Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence and all new media, to media partnerships.
  • Be able to support rapid responses and work in an active, high volume and deadline sensitive environment.
  • Assist with editing speeches, reports, and written communications we well as create blogs as needed.
  • Publicly represent MFV/MFV EF with external constituency groups, including community, governmental, and private organizations and build excitement for MFV/MFV EF’s mission as needed.



The Digital Manager will be thoroughly committed to MFV EF’s mission. Our primary audience base is Latinos and the Digital Manager should have a deep understanding of the Latino population. Demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:

  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and providing value to the organization with each project.
  • Knowledge of US politics and civic engagement trends, methods and strategies.
  • Ability to point to specific examples of having developed digital campaigns that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth.
  • Tech savvy; experienced with new tech tools and learning new programs on a constant basis.
  • Creative: Able to create videos or podcasts as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.
  • Past success working with a wide net of colleagues, with the ability to cultivate relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to engage a wide range of audiences from various cultures.
