Washington D.C. – Mi Familia Vota Education Fund is proud to announce the addition of a new board member to our national governing board. We are looking to the future to continue educating our community and building Latino political power. With the addition of Izmira Santiago Mikel, we reinvigorate our commitment as an organization to build a community vision that expands and enhances the aspirations of all of us.

Her combined experience and expertise will enable Mi Familia Vota Education Fund to build a more robust strategy as we head into our country’s most consequential social and economic renewal period.

Hector Sanchez Barba, CEO and Executive director of Mi Familia Vota, said: We are honored to be joined by Izmira; her critical experience and strategic approach to this work will aid us in continuing to educate and turn out new Latino voters. We lead by example, ensuring we bring down structural barriers that make it harder for Latinas to engage in our most crucial spaces of power.

Izmira Santiago-Mike Bio: has dedicated her career to promoting causes that seek to open doors for all—including underrepresented populations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. With over a decade of experience in philanthropy management across a variety of sectors, Izmira serves as the Managing Director for Strategy and operations for the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation. https://bit.ly/3ZPjnQ5
