• Are you wondering why prices for everything keep getting more expensive, especially for working families? From el mandado and la carne asada to healthcare, housing, gas prices, and our households are getting hit hard. The reason? MAGA politicians in Congress go along with extreme corporate agendas:
• Taxes: Gabe Evans voted for the One Big Beautiful bill that’s devastating access to health care. He supports Trump’s agenda of raising costs for the working class while giving massive tax breaks to billionaires and corporations.
• Healthcare: More than 10 million Americans are losing health care coverage because of Donald Trump’s disastrous One Big Beautiful Bill, which slashed the social safety net to pay for ICE detention and to give tax breaks to billionaires. Gabe Evans voted for slashing healthcare in that bill.
• Our Economy: Selling out working people and local farmers to boost corporate profits. Americans are being hit with the sharpest increase in grocery prices in 50 years. Now, grocery prices are expected to rise another 2.7% across the country this year. Our families are having to buy less at grocery stores than they did just a year ago.

• Gabe Evans voted earlier this year to reward ICE with $70 billion more in funding with zero guardrails, even after the deaths of three U.S. citizens at the hands of ICE, with record levels of deaths in ICE detention.
  
  Our neighborhoods are being disrupted. They’re harassing our abuelas, separating families, and spreading fear across our communities. Instead of demanding oversight, MAGA politicians are throwing ICE even more money with zero rules.

• Gabe Evans is sitting on his hands as an expansion of immigrant detention in Colorado is underway.  Despite opposition from community members, GEO Group, a for-profit corporation that stands to make money on the detention of our communities, has moved forward in expanding its presence to Hudson. This is happening despite the GEO Group having a history of severe medical neglect towards people in detention in the Aurora immigrant detention facility. Rural communities cannot withstand the burden of emergency services to meet the demand of ICE detention facilities as they increase their capacity. Water quality and access to water would also be impacted, as well as sewage facilities, especially in Colorado, where we are facing a historic drought.

• For Latino families, environmental justice is not a slogan; it is a reality that reflects our communities are among the most affected by pollution that causes climate change, and the extreme weather that follows. Para nuestras familias, clean air and water are non-negotiable. 
• Yet Gabe Evans has stood by while the Trump administration gutted the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) protections from pollution that causes climate change, while at the same time rolling back vehicle pollution standards. 
• And now, big corporations are building massive data centers that consume vast amounts of water and electricity, leaving our families to deal with water scarcity and higher energy utility costs.
